Successful design begins with the first client interaction and continues well after the completion of construction. In addition to providing stunning, thoughtful design solutions, Lyon Architecture advises on the initial planning to devise the program including the budget, schedule, and permitting. Throughout the project we work closely with clients, proactively communicating and managing the right team, to ensure expectations are met and a successful outcome is achieved.

Chris Lyon, RA, NCARB / Owner, Lyon Architecture
As a DC area native, founder Chris Lyon grew up surrounded by the inspiring architecture of the region. From an early age, Chris was passionate about building and design which served as the catalyst to make architecture his life’s work.
After graduating from Virginia Tech, Chris returned to Washington, DC where he honed his skills working for several prestigious architectural firms before launching Lyon Architecture.
With a keen eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of construction, Chris delivers creative, beautiful designs — enjoying the collaborative process with clients to realize their vision and goals. Well-versed in the local construction market, he navigates the complex approvals projects may experience further highlighting his personal commitment to every project.
Chris is a registered Architect in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
